The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Trailer 2; Analysation
Include: mise-en scene, camera work, sound and editing in 10 bullet points, point out the most striking bits

  1. When in the introduction, a castle of some sort can be scene in the distance. There is also fog, and a mystical forest that looks wild, and unknown.
  2. When the wizard's (Gandalf's) eye is shown through the translucent glass. Its an extreme close-up
  3. When the camera follows the level of the men in the door whilst they bow.
  4. Throughout the beginning when Gandalf is peaking, there are soft yet strong triangle sounds, that remind me of magic.
  5. When a lady in a white dress is standing in front of the mountains, on which one side is the sun. Gandalf's hair is lightly lit through.
  6. When an old man is "healing" a hedgehogs, his coat is lit from behind with an orange glow.
  7. The creature with the large blue eyes, when he's holding on to the rock, it look incredibly real.
  8. When Galdalf hits his staff onto the rock, the sound is powerful and like its cutting through something.
  9. When the rocks are falling from the mountain side and the camera view is where the rock it about to land.
  10. The paths made out of wood, suspended several meters up in the air, where the camera angles are from above.
